Terms of Service

Welcome to The First Dance Company. These terms and policies outline our commitment to providing professional ballroom dance instruction. Please review these sections carefully as they form the basis of our service agreement.

1. Terms of Service: Wedding Dance Lessons

Lesson Location: Lessons are primarily held at our Newport Beach location near Southeast Bristol Street and the 73 Freeway. Location details will be provided when your booking is confirmed.
Off-Site Lessons: Home visits or lessons at another pre-arranged venue may be available by request and are subject to instructor availability, location approval and additional travel fees.
Space Requirements: For off-site lessons, clients must provide a safe, unobstructed dance area of approximately 10 × 10 feet with suitable flooring.
Bookings: All sessions must be scheduled in advance and are subject to instructor availability.
Cancellations: At least 24 hours’ notice is required to reschedule or cancel a lesson.
Refunds: Lesson packages are generally non-refundable once the first session has commenced.
Travel: Additional fees may apply to off-site lessons based on distance and travel time.

2. Liability Waiver & Assumption of Risk

Dancing is a physical activity involving movement and physical exertion. By participating, you acknowledge the inherent risks associated with dance instruction and confirm that you are medically fit to participate. The First Dance Company is not responsible for injuries sustained during lessons at our Newport Beach location or at any approved off-site location.

3. Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy. We collect personal information, including names, email addresses, and wedding details, solely for the purpose of scheduling lessons and customizing your choreography. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Liability Waiver & Assumption of Risk

Assumption of Risk

By participating in dance lessons with The First Dance Company, you acknowledge that dancing is a physical activity. You voluntarily assume all risks of injury, including but not limited to trips, falls, or physical exertion, that may occur during the course of instruction whether in your home or at our Newport Beach location.

Physical Fitness

You represent that you are in good physical health and have no medical conditions that would prevent you from safely participating in dance lessons. It is your responsibility to consult with a physician before beginning any new physical activity program.

Release of Liability

You hereby release and hold harmless The First Dance Company and its instructors from any and all claims, liability, or causes of action arising out of your participation in these dance lessons. This includes any loss or damage to personal property during lessons.
